BLITZ DUAL SOLENOID BOOST CONTROL (DSBC)

More Power from Your Turbo - Safely

..The most common way of increasing power on turbo engines is to increase the boost pressure. This increases the amount of air going into the engine, and providing there is sufficient fuel to accompany the boost pressure, the resultant charge is much denser and provides more power.
Standard Engine Management systems have built in boost limits, which turn the fuel injectors off if the boost rises a certain amount over standard.

The boost pressure can usually be raised a small amount before the limit starts to activate. On some cars this can result in 10-15 BHP increase. To remove the boost limit, an upgraded ECU needs to be fitted (see Access computer upgrades). This will usually allow a 30-50% increase in boost pressure with corrected fuelling for the increased boost. Increasing the boost without increasing the fuelling will cause the engine to run lean, which can be fatal for the engine.

The best way of controlling boost pressure is electronically, using a solenoid valve to accurately control the pressure to the wastegate(s). This solenoid valve diverts air to the wastegate(s) making them open at a higher pressure. The more air than can be diverted, the more boost can be achieved, that is why the Blitz Dual Solenoid Boost Control (DSBC) uses a two valves built into one unit to flow more air

The BLITZ DSBC is one of the most sophisticated units on the market :-

* - Four pre-set programs for four different levels of boost
* - Overtake button for a set overboost time
* - Overboost audible warning/ boost cut
* - Real time display of boost pressure
* - Peak boost display

* - Manual boost "volume" control

*Compact ¼ din size *compatible to external wastegate and actuator with a switch *holds the boost pressure up to 2.0kg/cm² (30psi) *change gain setting for better response for different vehicles *compatible with any turbocharger *2 pieces component (controller and valve unit) *touch button warns with ringer and buzzer to check everything easier.

1. Boost Control- features a dual solenoid design which provides better response and increased boost pressure. Boost pressures are determined by pre-set ratios or percentages. This eliminates the need to cycle the car through several test runs to determine correct boost pressure. Boost curve varies with ambient air temperature.

2. Boost Meter- Display the actual boost pressure. Boost meter is important to check for pressure drop or boost spike.

3. Peak Hold- Peak hold function is used to record the highest boost reading. Peak hold is set for all channels and can be checked anytime.

4. Warning- The warning function is set to "beep" when actual boost pressure exceeds the desired warning limit.

5. Limiter- Limiter function works with warning function. Limiter will reduce the boost pressure to desired settin when warning function beeps.

6. Scramble- Scrambler function can be set to raise the boost pressure with time limit when just a little more boost is needed. Boost pressure is raised for the set time starting from the moment it reads boost.

7. Four Channel- Dual SBC offers four programmable channels to set your boost. Four channels can be set for your own low/high manual and one more for your extra need. The boost pressure is set by ratio.

8. Off- Off function to drive on stock boost pressure when maximum boost pressure is not needed..
